Results, December 16-21

There were three big shows this weekend. Hiroyo Muto & Ranmaru celebrated their 10th anniversaries and Muto chose to retire on the same day. This drew a lot of the old Jd' crowd, including the master Jaguar Yokota. They had a silly battle royale where people drew lots and wore other people's costumes. Some fat indy guy wore Fuuka's costume. Yuck! Fuuka made a good Takako Inoue, stun gun and all, and Jaguar was a great Toshie Uematsu. After Muto ate a G-Driver from Misae Genki (who is bowing out herself in 10 days), there was one more match, unnnounced, as Muto and Jaguar went to a draw.

Meiko Satomura paid homage to Devil Masami, one of her idols, with a special tag tournament in Devil's honor. Meiko obviously wanted one last match with Devil (she will wrestle against "Super Heel" at the retirement show) and made sure it would happen with a first round victory by figure-four leglock over Hanako Kobayashi & Ayako Sato. The Cross Sisters (DASH Chisako & Sendai Sachiko) had a busy day, with three matches and forty minutes of ring time. They beat the Ice Ribbon duo of Makoto & Minori Makiba, which was expected, but then scored an upset over KAORU & Hiren (in her trashy black OZ gear) to advance to the finals. Meiko & rookie Yukari Ishino lost to Devil & Ryo Mizunami, who won the tournament as Devil gave Sachiko the Fire Valley.

IBUKI had a year end show at Korakuen Hall. Esui scored a rare win over the masked Raika. I'm not sure who this is yet. Kyoko Kimura & Atsuko Emoto go into their NEO title shot on a roll, beating Shu Shibutani & Natsuki*Taiyo. The main event was the big news, though, as Hiroyo Matsumoto took the JWP Junior and POP belts away from Arisa Nakajima after landing a Liger Bomb.
