Results, December 23-28

WAVE ran Osaka on the 23rd, with Devil Masami & Jaguar Yokota teaming for the last time and defeating GAMI & Yumi Ohka. Will Yumi be the last one to take the Fire Valley? She claimed that honor from Sendai Sachiko, who ate the move in Sendai on the 21st.

Maybe Bolshoi gets that honor, as Devil & Bolshoi were part of the undercard at JWP CLIMAX 2008. Wait, Command Bolshoi is a smart veteran and she counters the Fire Valley for a suprise win! Also, Yumiko Hotta choked out Arisa Nakajima in the streetfight and the bad blood between the Hotta Gundam and the Pure Heart loyalists continues. Arisa will still not bow down to Hotta and this will continue in 2009. Sachie Abe wins return matches, against general puro tradition. In addition to winning the Santa Battle Royale at the Dojo show, she scores a pin over Aoi Kizuki at the Korakuen show.

Azumi Hyuga & Carlos Amano get the win over Meiko Satomura & Chikayo Nagashima, as Hyuga decides to hit Meiko in the back of the head with her knee this time. Hyuga/Satomura needs to happen in 2009, and I want Amano & Chika to feud as well.

No title changes, as Ran broke out the Fire Valley to pin Keito and Haruyama laid the Keene Hammer on Tojuki Leon. Kayoko won JWP's MVP award, Leon won Fighting Spirit, and Arisa won Outstanding Performance. JWP then got high and gave Haruyama vs Hotta the Match of theYear award, so I guess these awards are "Slammy" level.

Ito Dojo had a show. Kaoru Ito won a lot. ZAP I beat Ayako Sato. Ito put Miho Wakizawa right back into retirement (although I think Miho is going to be one of the cosplayers at the Hotta show on 1/4). Ito then beat Hanako Kobayashi in 9 FREAKING SECONDS. It must be depressing to be a young lion in Ito Dojo. Queen Bee had a show that I heard was very good as well, although Chihiro Oikawa may have suffered a broken nose.
