Results, December 3-6

WAVE had a weekday show again this week. The highlight was a Comical Lumberjack match with Azumi Hyuga & Ran Yu-Yu facing off against GAMI and Bullfight Sora. Azumi was wearing her hair with cornrows (Ran-style) and there were a bunch of stupid rules. The lumberjacks had wiffleball bats and there was milk involved and the wrestlers had to go in slow motion when music played. Hyuga beat GAMI in the end. The midweek also saw a NEO house show, with standard results.

The major excitement was the Sunday doubleshot at Shinjuku FACE. First was JWP, with the first part of their CLIMAX 2009 (later this month, Hyuga has her retirement show at Korakuen Hall). JWP beat Passion Red in trios action, as Sachie Abe gets a pinfall on Passion "Hottei". Kaori Yoneyama defends the NEO High Speed title with an expected victory over Ayako Sato. Hyuga continued her retirement road, using the Michinoku Driver II on Command Bolshoi. Kayoko Haruyama's lengthy title reign continues, as Emi Sakura is unable to add the JWP belt to her collection after being another victim of the Keene Hammer.

OZ Academy was also at Shinjuku FACE, setting up their year end show at Korakuen Hall. Mayumi Ozaki and KAORU are feuding, and will be meeting at that show in a hardcore match. KAORU warmed up by making Ozaki disciple Hiren tap out to her own finisher, the ~KURTIE Ankle Hold. Other youngsters were more successful, as Tomoka Nakagawa scored an upset pin on Carlos Amano in a three-way match also involving OZ champ Manami Toyota. Then Ayumi Kurihara (w/Dynamite Kansai) got a big win, pinning Mayumi Ozaki (w/Takako Inoue) with the Uranage. Chikayo Nagashima and Sonoko Kato, bitter rivals in 2007 but friends since, had a time limit draw. They will resume their team and meet AKINO and Ran Yu-Yu for the titles on 12/23, as AKINO & Ran defended over Jungle Jack 21 stablemates Aja Kong & Hiroyo Matsumoto, as AKINO pinned Hiroyo.
