That league is getting close to completion, as JWP's weekend show saw Leon get back on winning ways by defeating Ran Yu-Yu, Kaori Yoneyama beating Emi Sakura (who lost every one of her matches), and Passion Hottei over
OZ Academy ran Shinjuku FACE on Sunday. DASH Chisako picked up a rare win, beating OZ's rookie Nao Komatsu. Carlos Amano beat Manami Toyota to make the score two wins for Toyota, one for Amano, and one draw after the fourth of their five match series. AKINO & Hiroyo Matsumoto got a nice win over Chikayo Nagashima and Sonoko Kato, with Hiroyo pinning Chikayo. Dynamite Kansai beat Ran Yu-Yu, then the main event saw the Ozaki-gun, with Mayumi Ozaki, Takako Inoue and their new recruit Yumi Ohka beat Aja Kong, KAORU, and Tomoka Nakagawa, with Ohka pinning Nakagawa. AKINO then questioned Aja's authority and it looks like there is turmoil in the Jungle Jack 21 camp. AKINO, Ran, and Hiroyo will face Aja, KAORU, and Tomoka at the next show.
NEO's "big" 10th anniversary show at Kawasaki Gym only drew a so-so Korakuen crowd of 1122 fans, and featured some wonky booking. The opener saw Aya Yuki beat Sendai's Kagetsu, then Natsuki*Taiyo and MIKAMI had a draw. Then Emi Sakura beat Kana (wtf?) and then Makoto, of all freaking people, pinned Mima Shimoda in the Revolucion Amandola vs babyfaces 8 woman tag. Granted, it was a rollup after Atsuko Emoto accidentally hit Mima with a chair, but still...
Then the NEO Mashin Ganz (that's how they seem to say it) beat Toshie Uematsu, Tsukasa Fujimoto, and some idol/soccer player wannabe, with Tanny going over. Then Nanae Takahashi got to squash Hiroyo in 3 minutes. Hmmmph. The semi main event had the Shinobu Kandori-Fuuka team (I think the intersection of their respective fan clubs is the empty set) beat Kyoko Inoue and Emi Sakura, since 45 year old politicians who are semi-retired and work for promotions that haven't run a show or updated their website in 6 months can't be expected to not win, as obviously Kandori>>>>Emi>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kana.
The main event had Yoshiko Tamura defending the NEO and NWA Pacific titles against Meiko Satomura. Unfortunately, the brackets for the Sendai Girls tournament makes it pretty obvious that these two will face each other in the finals there, so Tamura won today and I expect the return job a few months from now at Sendai's anniversary show.
