Results, September 3-8

With nothing but a JWP dojo show tomorrow, I'm going to go ahead and post the week's results in joshi puroresu.

Except for WAVE's second show, which I've already posted results for, there was limited action during the workweek. K-DOJO had a show celebrating the 15th anniversary of TAKA Michinoku. Both Apple Miyuki and Yuu Yamagata were on losing tag teams. The SUN girls were on tour with ZERO1-MAX. The most interesting result was a mixed tag match on the 5th, where Munenori Sawa (who left his tutu behind in LLPW) and Bullfighter Sora defeated Osamu Namiguchi and Nanae Takahashi. The pinfall involved the guys. This could be practice for a rumored mixed tag tourney later this month. OZ and Osaka Pro already have a mixed tag tourney scheduled, so it must be the cool thing to do in puro this month.

Sendai Girls held a show at Zepp Sendai on Saturday. They hosted the Ito Dojo and the Sendai youngsters all got new names. Highlights included the first pinfalls scored by Sendai rookies over outside opponents, as Sachiko Kanari beat Hanako Kobayashi and Ayane Mizumura beat Midori (who apparently grew up in Sendai). Yurie Kaneko lost to Mai Ichii and Chisako Kanari has a sore tummy after taking the footstomp from Kaoru Ito. The team of Meiko Satomura and Akari Okuda had a chance to win the day for your hometown team, but the Double Ayakos (Hamada and Sato) won the rubber match as Hamada defeated Okuda. JWP will be the next visitors to Sendai, in early October.

Oh, and here are the new names; I'm still shaky on a few. Sachiko Kanari is now "Sendai Sachiko" and Chisako Kanari is "DASH CHISAKO". Akari Okuda is kind of old-school, as evidenced by her love of the JUMPINUNI ATTAK. Maybe she liked wrestlers with names like Lioness, Eagle, Bison, and Bull. She's now "Tyrannosaurus Okuda". I don't like this name. Yurie Kaneko's new name translated as "Tragic Love". I couldn't make out Ayane Mizumura's name, but it's a combination of her family and given names and it's something like "Mizaya". Maybe she can just be "The Miz" and use too much gel in her hair and act like a douchebag fratboy. Oh, that would be infringement of WWE creativity!

Finally, NEO went to Kitazawa for their final show before the big BEAT UP 07 show coming up in Korakuen Hall. The Chinese Machine Gunz beat the NEO Machine Gunz, as Chinese Yuki used the "Evil Principal's Clutch" on Tanny. I can't confirm the identity of the Chinese Machine Gunz yet. We also saw Mika Mizunuma's comeback match, but she lost to Aya Yuki. Haruka Matsuo was unable to score a win before her title shot, as the team of Yoshiko Tamura, Azumi Hyuga, and Arisa Nakajima beat Haruka, Shu Shibutani, and Tomoka Nakagawa.
