Schedule, October 16-21

This week in joshi puroresu will see the start of WAVE's new series, the start of CHICK-FIGHTS SUN's league, the continuation of the OZ Academy tournament, and two title matches in JWP.

On Tuesday the 16th, Pro-Wrestling WAVE is back at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Yumi Ohka has been relegated from main eventing to curtain-jerking, as "Opening WAVE: ~Yumi Ohka restart~" has her against youngster Misaki Ohata. Kyoko Kimura faces Megumi Yabushita in a submission match.

Shin-Kiba 1st Ring will also feature joshi action on Thursday and Friday nights. SUN will run the first two rounds of their "CHICK FEVER J" league. There are eight competitors, competing in a round-robin basis in two zones. The "Cup Zone" has Nanae Takahashi, Natsuki*Taiyo, JWP's Kayoko Haruyama, and AKINO donning the mask as noki-A. The "Coin Zone" has Hikaru and Saki Maemura (back from Hawaii), along with R.E.M.'s Toshie Uematsu and "KY Hotta" (Yumiko's new SUN name). I didn't mention it in last week's results thread, but Hikaru won a retirement match over Tsunami in Hawaii, while AWA champ Saki Maemura lost to Tracy Taylor and had to clean the toilets as her stipulation. Haha. I remember someone like Lance Storm having to mop the floors at WWE's restaurant in Times Square before they shut that place down. Some of the SUN girls will go on tour with ZERO1-MAX on the 21st, 22nd, and 24th in Akita, Iwate, and Niigata.

Sunday features a doubleheader at Shinjuku FACE. OZ Academy has the afternoon. The final four matches of the first round of the Next Challenger Determination Tournament for Aja Kong's OZ Openweight title will be held, there will be a rare non-LLPW sighting of Harley's Comet, and Oz and Aja battle Toshie & Ran. Toshie & Ran will stay to work JWP's night show, as the "final battle" between Team Uematsu and WANTED?! takes place. Toshie, Ran, and Chikayo Nagashima will face Sachie Abe, KAZUKI, and Carlos Amano. Arisa Nakajima defends the junior belts (JWP/POP) against S-Ovation/former JD Star wrestler Misaki Ohata. Final Egotist in JWP will be part of Michiko Ohmukai's retirement road. The main event is a defense of the JWP tag belts, as Tsubasa Kuragaki and Kayoko Haruyama take on Manami Toyota and Etsuko Mita.
