Schedule, November 19-25

It's Thanksgiving week in the USA. While you are enjoying your turkey and pumpkin pie, think about the cool joshi happening this week that might make it to the downloaders and dealers in a few months.

Tuesday night means WAVE. Michiko Ohmukai makes one of the last appearances of her career against Yumi Ohka, while GAMI and Kyoko Kimura exchange beauty tips and try to ~STOP THE UEMATSU~!!!!! There's no stopping Toshie and Ran. In my opinion, Toshie has benefitted more from the end of GAEA than anyone else on that roster, at least in the ring. Hopefully she's making a decent living as well.

Wednesday night has UNION Pro Wrestling. That's Cherry's home and she'll face Tsubasa Kuragaki.

There's a lot of stuff on Friday the 23rd. SUN will offer up a match at a ZERO-ONE MAX house show in Hyogo. JWP will have a dojo show. The main event is a trios match with a "Sweet Potato" stipulation. If you fall out of the ring, you have to eat a sweet potato before re-entering the ring. I hate sweet potatoes. I'd rather eat some cranberry sauce or cornbread stuffing or pumpkin pie.

That afternoon, OZ Academy is running the quarterfinals of the #1 Challenger Tournament. The tournament winner will face Aja Kong for the OZ belt at the first OZ show of 2008. Ran Yu-Yu has a bye to the semis since El Blazer and Ryuma both got eliminated due to a time-limit draw. Carlos Amano faces Yumiko Hotta, AKINO takes on Sayuri Okino, and Dynamite Kansai battles Manami Toyota. I expect AKINO and Kansai to make the finals, where AKINO wins to blow off that feud and she'll start one with Aja.

IWA Japan, known to some as "shitty ass garbage fed" is also running Shinjuku FACE and has 2 matches featuring well-known joshi talent. Jaguar Yokota and Toshie Uematsu oppose each other, both teaming up with two guys. They were smarter than Sachie Abe, Kaori Yoneyama, and Keizo Matsuda. Those three are going to get carved like your Thanksgiving bird, as they face Dump Matsumoto, Sasori, and ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER!!!

If you prefer pretty girls that probably won't bleed profusely from their foreheads, then the Lee Jeans special "BEGINNING" show on Saturday at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring should be more to your liking. Older babes like Takako Inoue and Cherry (lol) will be there, along with younger babes like Francoise*, Fuuka, Apple Miyuki, and Mio Shirai. Little sister Io is there as well, but she's too young to be a babe yet ;) Kyoko Kimura and Yuu Yamagata will probably be mean to Fuuka and Apple. Kyoko battles a guy later on at Shin-Kiba during the WMF show.

Lots on Sunday as well. The usual K-DOJO double shot at Chiba Blue Field. There will be a spotting of LLPW workers at a special show honoring the 25th anniversary of some dojo. WAVE will be at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring, as Dump & Sasori face GAMI and the returning Bullfight Sora. Japanese PETA will be there to picket Dump for animal abuse.

Finally, JWP and NEO will run afternoon/evening shows at the Tokyo Cinema Club. JWP goes first. I thought Michiko Ohmukai had her final JWP match, but I was wrong. "Final Egoist at JWP 2" has Michiko against Tojuki Leon. The six-woman main event has Azumi Hyuga, Command Bolshoi, and Sachie Abe against Tsubasa Kuragaki, Kayoko Haruyama, and Kaori Yoneyama. The NEO show has an opener between Youth Green (Aoi Kizuki & Nagisa Nozaki) versus the Ibuki team called 3S (Hiroyo Matsumoto & Misaki Ohata). NEO's main event is tag champs Yoshiko Tamura and Misae Genki against NEO/NWA champ Haruka Matsuo and big scaredy-cat Emi Sakura.
