This week, there is little happening until a rather busy Sunday schedule. I guess people need something to do since there's no NFL football this week while we wait for the Super Bowl ;-)
We do get a SUN offer match at the ZERO1-MAX show in Chiba on Friday, with Nanae Takahashi & Saki Maemura against Hikaru & Natsuki*Taiyo. Hopefully these four will get something better to do soon than wrestle each other in the same undercard matches, but we have to wait and see if SUN will resume or if SUN will fold.
There are two double-shots on Sunday, one at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring and the other at Tokyo Cinema Club.
At Shin-Kiba, the afternoon features IBUKI #20. The card isn't set yet, but the participants have been released and it's Mariko, Atsuko Emoto and a bunch of youngsters, almost like the sequel to Junior All-Stars. We have everyone from the usual S-Ovation wrestlers like Cherry, Tomoka Nakagawa, Hiroyo Matsumoto, and Misaki Ohata to the Shirai sisters, the Sendai sisters, Hanako Kobayashi, Shu Shibutani, Mika "Megaton" Mizunuma, and ex-armwrestler Yoko Yamada.
The evening at Shin-Kiba will feature WAVE. A partial card is available. Highlights are Yumi Ohka versus Manami Toyota and a 6-woman tag with Toshie Uematsu, Ran Yu-Yu, and KAORU against GAMI, Kyoko Kimura, and a mystery partner.
The Tokyo Cinema Club has a JWP/NEO doubleheader. JWP has the early show in honor of Kayoko Haruyama's 10th anniversary in the business. The semi-main is Azumi Hyuga & Kaori Yoneyama against Command Bolshoi & Tojuki Leon, while Kayoko faces Etsuko Mita in the main event.
NEO has the evening show and the main attraction is 4 second round matches in the STAGE 08 tournament for a shot at Haruka Matsuo and the double belts. Toshie is a busy woman, wrestling for THREE promotions. After working the afternoon undercard for JWP, she's in the NEO curtain jerker against Shu, followed by Yuki Miyazaki against Kyoko Kimura, both tournament matches. Then Toshie and Kimura leave to wrestle at the WAVE show. The final two matches are also in the tournament. Misae Genki faces Hiroyo Matsumoto and Yoshiko Tamura is against Atsuko Emoto.
